It is spring, it is spring,
I am sure it is true,
For I saw in my garden
And my neighbor saw too
A long row of daffodils green,
But when we looked closely
Bits of yellow were seen.
Spring winds will blow softly
And gently caress
Those green buds of daffodils
Held close to earth’s breast.
And the life giving rays
Of the sun will shine through
Then a wealth of rare beauty
Will burst into view.
